Dolphin show

The day before yesterday, we went to the zoo.
We got to see the amazing dolphin show.
Here's some photos:
This is dad and Evan in the seats at the dolphin show area.

This is a picture of a dolphin in the tank, but we don't
actually know those people.

Smores Ice Cream

Today, we made smores ice cream.
We also took pictures of Puppy Evan.

Unfourtunately,we forgot to take photos of ice
cream making. However, we did take a photo of the
empty bowl we made it in.

 This is Puppy Evan.

His tricks are: fetch,
 Beg,

 hi-five,

 roll over,

 shake,

and spin.

Here's a smores ice cream sandwich...

...And here's two guys REALLY enjoying it.

This is the ice cream being scooped.

Cleaning, Moon Sand, Bubbles, and Free Movie Tickets.

Yesterday, we cleaned up the house. Then, we still had a lot of time, so we went to the Home Depot
to get a water filter for the fridge and to get sand so we could make moon sand.
After that, we had dinner then went outside to make bubbles.
Here's the photos:
here's Evan, playing in the moon sand.

I like making lots of bubbles stick together.
Unfourtunately, these don't float very far
because they're heavier than single bubbles.

Evan is completely loving bubble day.

This is simply AMAZING!

Dad had an idea to use a fan to send bubblesacross the yard.
Also, we won free tickets to see the
Phineas and Ferb: Across the Second Dimension movie.
It is also going to be on TV, but we get to see it on a big movie screen.
Bye, Ben

Added by Mom:
I am not sure what they are doing, but Evan's new big boy bed is a LOT of fun!

See that look on his face?  He is cracking himself up by blowing bubbles all over Ben's pants.

Who said my baby could grow up???

"LOOK HOW FAR THAT ONE WENT!!!"

Idea

I had an idea.
If we had a room that was empty, we could put a tarp below one wall, then put a bin of art supplies and
a bin of paint shirts in the room. then everyone could put something on it whenever they want.
Then at the end of every week, we would post a picture of it here.
I call the idea the "art wall".
we don't actaully have one yet, however,
look at this picture:

Yep, yesterday's chicken.

Finally friday!

So today, we finally had a somewhere fun friday.
                                Here's the photos:
First, we went to a park.
I played on a structure that has
tubes the sand can go through.

After that, we went to a bookstore
with animals in it. Here's a chicken that was there.

There were also some chinchillas there.
Unfourtunetly, they didn't leave
their cardboard box the whole time we were there.

Evan was very serious about making
sure we saw all the animals.
here's a list:
2 chinchillas, 2 ferrets,
1 tarantula, 2 cats, 3 rats,
2 doves, 1 chicken, and 3 cockatoos
(or cockateals, my mom doesn't remember which.)

... Cake!!!

So, we made the cake!
It turned out Great!!
Here's some pictures:
There was a little accident with my first egg...

 Mixing and mixing and mixing,
mixing is fun!

 Ccaaaakkee!!

 Finally... EATING!

We made green frosting because this is
a practice cake for Evan's birthday, and green
is his favorite color. His contribution: I wicked! (licked)

Evan LOVES eating cake!

I like it too, but am less
excited and more content
like "I have cake so all is well."

Later today...

So later today, we will bake a cake for what's cooking wensday.
for now, look at this!!

Yesterday On Monday, we went to the waterpark after dinner.
Because Evan was a good cooperator, we got to go
to Dairy Queen to get ice cream. As you can see,
this had a hilarious result for Evan.

I also remembered that I forgot to mention
the name of my inator in my previous post.
It is the "asleepinator".
I invented it because I have trouble getting to sleep,
but then stay asleep pretty well.
Bye for now. I'll do a post later today about the cake.

Bye,Ben.

Ultimate Cheerios recipe

Since nothing crafty or otherwise interesting happened today,
I was going to not do a post, however, right before I got out the laptop
I never actually use on my lap, my Mom offered me some special Cheeriios.
They are so, so, so delicious. Definetly not as nutritious as normal Cheerios, but at least 70
times tastier.

Here's the recipe:

2 T butter
3 C cheerios

Melt butter in microwave in medium bowl,
stir in cheerios, microwave for 30 seconds,
sprinkle with salt, stir again.

I hope everyone has a great time making and eating these

Road Trip: part 3, Mom Style

So, Ben can't imagine why you all would be interested in seeing more than a few pictures of him & his brother, but I know you love it, so I will include a few more here!  We had a terrific time on our road trip.  I was worried about multiple 12 hour days of driving, but for the most part, we all did pretty well & took turns having our "moments" so it worked out ok.  I even let Paul go "off the map" for one stretch in IL... not following the directions I have carefully printed out from Google is WAY out of my comfort zone!  And now, some pictures:

We were there too - at Kennedy Space Center

I love the look on Ben's face in this one.  ♥

Looking through their "wookers"

Main Engine Ignition - woohoo!!!
An awesome photo taken by my stepmom - I was incapable of taking a good photo at this point,
as I was blubbering like an idiot!  It really was an overwhelming experience.
Somehow we managed to be there during a 2-day lego deal??
I should not be surprised by this, but I still am.

It was a loooong day.

Where the kids spent most of the rest of our vacation.

Except when they were building legos, playing trains, terrorizing poor Mighty
or hanging out in Snugabug & Grandpa's bed.
